Welcome to Sparkle N Sprinkle World Animal Day Blog Hop

Welcome to the Sparkle N Sprinkle World Animal Day blog Hop. If you arrived here from Barbara’s blog then you are in the right place. If not, and you'd like to become eligible for the Grand Prize and three other mystery prizes, please begin on the SNS Home Blog

I am here in Florida with my very old dog, Savannah Jane. She is a Chesapeake Bay retriever and will be 14 next month. Her favorite pastime is looking for jelly beans in the evening. It is about the only time she is awake these days! To honor World Animal Day, I chose several animals for this blog hop.

For the first card I used Leo the Lion stamp. I stamped him with Archival Ink in Sepia on white cardstock. I then used watercolor pencils (Goldenrod for his body). I then used Dimensional Glue and covered the glue with Buff Flocking. It is important to lightly press the flocking into the glue. After waiting a few minutes brush a small amount of Brushable Glue on his tongue and gently pour Fire Engine Glitter. Try to keep the glitter from getting on the Buff Flocking. I loved this paw prints ribbon and wrapped it around the cardstock. I then took another small piece and tied a small know into it and attached it with a glue dot. Once the glue is set, apply ½” double-sided Tear-ific tape to the back and attached it to Stardream Antique Gold cardstock and then attach to the Stardream Bronze cardstock.

For the second card I used Ginger the Giraffe stamp on white cardstock. I stamped her with VersaMark ink and liberally poured Stickum powder over the image. Then I used a heat gun to set the Stickum Powder. As soon as the Stickum Powder becomes shiny I poured Autumn Sparkle Sparkle N Soft. For the background paper I used a napkin and Brushable glue. I brushed the glue on cardstock and placed the napkin over the glue. Once the glue was set, I used deckled-edged scissors to give the card stock an aged or torn look. Then I used ½” double-sided Tear-ific tape and attached Ginger to Stardream Antique Gold cardstock and then the napkin background to Stardream Bronze. The giraffe ribbon was tied into a loose knot and attached with a glue dot.
For the third card I used the Zebra stamp. I used the same technique as Ginger except I used Night Sky Sparkle N Soft to cover the zebra. I used ½” double-sided Tear-ific tape to attach the zebra to black cardstock and then used pop-dots to attach it to the silver mirrored cardstock. I wrapped the zebra striped ribbon around the back and then used the Tear-ific tape to attach it to black cardstock.

NOTE: It is very important to make sure the VersaMark pad is very juicy in order for the Stickum Powder to hold the Sparkle N Soft.

Please leave a comment on my blog to become eligible for two Grand prizes. Now head over to Judy’s blog to see what she has in store for you. Thanks for visiting and be kind to an animal today!

Looks like my next purchase is anumal print tape/ribbon. The way you used them in both relly does the card justice and is just that pop for a small add-on.
