This was definitely a day spent honoring wildlife. There were at least six of them flying around eating bugs. This morning a female turkey spent time walking around the yard. In the afternoon, we watched a tortoise walking through the yard to the retention ditch. The tortoise walked with determination and knew exactly where it was going. At night I sat outside tonight and watched the nighthawks.
