Niflheim (Day of Generating)

Today my women’s group gathered here today. We made window clings from Gallery Glass and sheet protectors. Everyone had a great time. It was thundering the entire time they were here so swimming was out of the question. My rune today was Ansuz – reversed (miscommunication).

Midgard (Day of Immersion)

Today was a slow day for me. It took me a while to get going and I felt as if I was moving in slow motion. I spent the morning working on The Oracle. It needs to be announced by Sunday. So far three articles have been posted and proofed by Sara. It is great to have someone willing to work diligently and quickly. So far I am happy with this issue.

My rune today was Nauthiz (needfire, survival). This could be why everything seems to be a challenge for me today. And I still have Limits to work on. That definitely is a challenge.

We have been concerned about some cracks around the house. The law has changed regarding sink holes and we are at a point where we need to make a decision. The insurance has increased from $3900 to $6630. In order to reduce the premiums we need to eliminate the sink hole coverage. I have concerns about doing that since the new law states the house must be condemned or uninhabitable before the insurance will pay for repairs. This could be Nauthiz showing me the challenges I need to face.

Svartalheim (Day of Adventure)

Today my runes was Gebo (gifting and hospitality). This is such a happy rune and immediately puts me in a good mood. In the mail today I received an acceptance letter from the University of Florida. The condition is that I complete the Calculus course at the community college. Yeah!

Last night I made a breakthrough with the algebra topic on functions. I am so happy about it. Today I moved to the next topic which is the Domain of a Function… sigh… I thought I was done with functions. Hopefully I can work through this concept and move on to something else like Proofing Logarithms… Well after about an hour of domains of functions, I thought I would try some Limits in Pre-calculus/Calculus. Now I think my eyes are going to fall out of my head. I think I need to sleep on all of this to see if it makes more sense tomorrow.

Muspelheim (Day of Vision)

Today as I was shaking my runes bag, two runes feel out. I turned them over and found Dagaz (day, new beginnings) and Perthro (mystery, dice cup, fate). These are both good runes to pull but having them together is a good sign.

I worked on functions all day. At first I didn’t understand it at all. I knew it was similar to a logic puzzle but I couldn’t figure it out. After about five problems I figured it out but I made simple arithmetic errors and continued to get wrong answers. Around midnight it all seems clear. I was able to finish the exercises and became proficient with functions. Yeah! Now I can move ahead to the next topic.

Alfheim (Day of Openness)

We were planning on guests for dinner so I spent a good part of the day, putting the house in order. I had left so many things go since I wasn’t feeling well that it had built up. What would have taken just a few minutes to do wound up taking most of the day. Luckily I didn’t wear myself out and I was able to enjoy myself in the evening. It was the first time we had them to dinner and it was really nice.

Today my rune was Dagaz (day, new beginnings). I see this as the beginning of a new cycle. Maybe I will figure out functions and will be able to move forward in the algebra class

Niflehim (Day of Generating)

Today was the Open House at Creative Hands. We had a rough night as something we ate didn’t agree with us. When the alarm clock music started to play it was hard to get up. I didn’t have time for breakfast so I grabbed a coffee and left. Jerry not only packed my lunch but he packed me a breakfast too. Where would I be without him? It was a lot of fun. I had a total of ten women sign up for my mini class and a few signed up for my class next Friday to make glittery holiday cards.

Today my rune was Gebo (gifting and hospitality). This is such a fun rune and I love when I pull it. I just makes me feel good looking at it. Tomorrow we are having guests for dinner and I know we are going to have a great time.
